Pack 50 Scouts show their devotion PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 May 2007

Several Cub Scouts from Holy Name's Pack 50 recently completed the necessary requirements to receive Religious Emblem awards from the Boy Scouts of America.  The boys were required to study a denomination-appropriate activity book and discuss these topics with their parents, guardians or ministers.  Rather than simply winning an award, the goal of earning a religious emblem is to help the Scout develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

Award recipients

Standing from left to right are Wolf Scouts Jonas D., Ian M., Sam G., Jack M. and Cameron H.; seated is Webelos Scout Sean W.

Jonas received the Presbyterian "God and Me" Emblem in a ceremony at his church attended by his minister, congregation and fellow Scouts.  Sean received the "Parvuli Dei" Emblem and the Wolves each received the "Light of Christ" Emblem at a ceremony presided over by Bishop McRaith in Owensboro.  Congratulations, Scouts!
