The Cub Scout Family Camp at Old Ben Scout Reservation (north of Vincennes, IN) will be offered the weekends of June 6-8 and June 13-15 (pick one).  This is a great camp, offering swimming, canoeing, fishing, archery, BB Guns, and much, much more!  The cost is $60.00 per scout and $40.00 per sibling or adult.  This includes all food for the weekend (3 meals on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday, including dinner catered by Schnitzelbank…eat on Friday before you arrive). 

The scout office will not accept individual reservations…we must register as a unit.  However, every Scout must be accompanied by a parent or guardian as per BSA rules.  We will be taking the reservations to the scout office on Wednesday, May 14.  If you plan to go, please get Anna Gibson a registration form (attached) and your money before then.  There will be no extensions, as the price increases after that date.

Our Webelos II Scouts were recently awarded their Arrow of Light badges at a ceremony attended by Father Bradley, family and friends.  The Arrow of LIght is the highest award available to a Cub Scout, and our boys worked very hard to earn it.  By doing so they demonstrate that they understand and are willing to follow the Scout Law in their daily lives.

 Many of the Webelos II also crossed over to Boy Scouts in a separate ceremony that evening.  They joined Troop 50 and will continue to grow as Scouts under the watchful eye of Scoutmaster Herdegen. 

Congratulations to all Webelos Scouts and new Boy Scouts for their hard work and dedication!

Once again, our annual Pinewood Derby was a smashing success!  There were a lot of great cars and fast races again this year.  And don't forget all of the fantastic car designs!  Congratulations to all racers and winners for another thrilling event!
